The Brighton connection (post 1830s)

George PLANK was my great-great-grandfather.  He arrived in Brighton in the early part of the 19th century, probably the 1830s. I used to believe that there were no Planks in Sussex before he came but I now know that this is not true.  However these Planks are not related to me and they do not appear to have left their genealogical mark upon Sussex.  Most of his descendants were born, and lived, in Sussex. There is still a group of Planks in and near Brighton. This is his claim to fame, starting the Sussex branch (!) of the Planks.
